About (Deep Blue Experience):

Our Story

Here at Deep Blue Eco-Tours, our mission is to share and spread a love for the ocean with ocean experiences, educational marine life encounters, and community outreach and conservation. We believe that sharing educational experiences can have a lifelong impact and can motivate people to protect the ocean.

We want to give people an experience of a lifetime on the ocean. We strive to share our ocean experiences, and the moments with the wildlife that we encounter in a respectful, safe, and educational manner.

We understand that Deep Blue Eco Tours is a platform for ocean conservation and a catalyst for conversation about the importance of marine life in Hawaii and all around the world. Being a small boat tour operator, we offer an intimate and personal experience where our crew of knowledgeable Marine Biologists can share knowledge relating your experience to significant conservation efforts that individuals can participate in, in their everyday lives. We emphasize respect for the ocean and the people around it, especially in Hawaii where negligent tourism can have a negative impact on the health of the coastlines and native people. We believe that sharing our ocean experience with you will give you a newfound or strengthened love, respect, and knowledge about the ocean and how to help save it.

We suggest booking earlier in the day for most of the trips we offer due to better ocean conditions such as smaller waves and weaker winds. All of our trips have a maximum passenger limit of 6 people. We require a minimum of 3 guests to run the snorkel with sharks. Our other trips, like the whale watch and the sunset cruise, are private bookings for groups up to 6.

Deep Blue Eco Tours is committed to creating an educational and fun experience about the wonders of marine life and the importance of ocean conservation.

1. Snorkel with sharks Eco Tour (open water, no cage)

You will be guided throughout the whole trip by our highly knowledgeable and trained crew of marine biologists. On the way out, one of our marine biologist crew members will give a thorough briefing on what you can expect to see, and how the crew and the customers must behave around the wildlife seen from the boat out and when in the water. You will join one of our safety divers in the water from the ladder on the swim platform, from there you can hold on to a safety rope secured to the boat. If conditions permit, you may let go of the rope and swim in the designated safety area. Multiple crew members will assist you when in the water to ensure your comfort and safety. During the boat ride back, the crew will speak with you about what everyone saw on your dive and provide educational marine science. The crew will also share knowledgeable information about ocean conservation and ways you can help save our oceans in your daily life. There is always a chance (not guaranteed) of the crew spotting other wildlife on the way in (turtles, dolphins, whales, etc.). By the end of the trip, we hope to have given you an experience that you will never forget, and a greater feeling of respect and love for the ocean and all of the life it provides.
