About (Deep Blue Experience):

Our Story

Here at Deep Blue Eco Tours, our mission is to give people an experience of a lifetime on the ocean. We strive to share our ocean experiences, and the moments with the wildlife that we encounter in a respectful, safe, and educational manner.

We understand that Deep Blue Eco Tours is a platform for ocean conservation and a catalyst for conversation about the importance of marine life in Hawaii and all around the world. We focus on giving people an experience that will leave a lasting impression and hopefully give them the motivation to help save the ocean. Being a small boat tour operator, we offer an intimate and personal experience where our crew of knowledgeable Marine Biologists can share knowledge relating your experience to important conservation efforts that individuals can participate in their everyday lives. We emphasize respect for the ocean and the people around it, especially in Hawaii where negligent tourism can have a negative impact on the health of the coastline and native people. We believe that sharing our ocean experience with you will give a newfound or strengthened love, respect, and knowledge about the ocean and how to help save it.

For most of the trips we offer, we suggest booking early in the day. For ocean conditions, earlier in the day is always better, because that is when the wind is weaker and waves are smaller. All of our trips have a maximum passenger limit of 6. You can choose to purchase individual spots on our marine eco snorkels or you can book a private tour. We require a minimum of 3 guests to run the snorkel with sharks. Our other trips offered like the whale watch and the sunset cruise are private bookings only, for groups up to 6.

Deep Blue Eco Tours is committed to creating an educational and fun experience about the wonders of marine life and the importance of ocean conservation.

1. Snorkel with sharks Eco Tour (open water, no cage)

On your trip with us, you will be guided throughout the whole trip by our highly knowledgeable and trained crew of marine biologists. Once everyone has boarded the vessel for the trip, we will head out to the open ocean, to share an experience of a lifetime. On the way out, one of our marine biologist crew members will give a thorough briefing on what you can expect to see, and how the crew and the customers will be behaving around the wildlife seen from the boat out and when in the water. You will join one of our safety diver biologists in the water from the ladder on the swim platform, from there you can hold on to a safety rope secured to the boat. If conditions permit, you may let go of the rope and swim in the designated safety area. When in the water there will be multiple crew members assisting you to ensure your comfort and safety. We encourage you not to worry about documenting the experience, instead enjoy and take in the moment of being in the deep blue Hawaii water with the beautiful sea life (Our photographers can take care of that for you). During the boat ride back, the crew will chat with you about what everyone saw on your dive and relate it to educational marine science. The crew will also be sharing conservation information about marine life, and ways you can help save the ocean in your everyday lives. There is always a chance (not guaranteed) of the crew spotting other wildlife on the way in (turtles, dolphins, whales, etc.). By the end of the trip, we hope to have given you an experience that you will never forget, and a greater feeling of respect and love for the ocean and all of the life it provides.

2. Private Whale Watch Eco Tour

These gentle giants migrate thousands of miles from the seas of Alaska to mate and give birth! You will get the in-person chance to see one of these whales in the wild from the comfort of our boat. Throughout the trip, a marine biologist crew member will be sharing interesting and valuable science about Humpback Whales and any other marine life spotted. At all times, we obey all rules and regulations that ensure there is no disturbance or harassment of the whales and any marine mammal that we encounter. There is no guarantee to see a whale, although we do our best to use our knowledge and experience to find them.
